Which of these answers is the best?

1. Christof is wrong to keep Truman in the fake world. He is restricting his free will. He is not letting him live a real life. He is not allowing him to be with the woman he really loves.

2. Although it could be argued that by preventing him from entering the real world Christof is protecting Truman, it is clear that, in fact, Truman is not happy with his life. When Truman leaves the house for work in the morning, he looks happy as he enthusiastically wishes his friendly neighbours good morning. However, the audience also see how confused Truman feels when he realises that his wife has not been being honest with him and when he sees his 'dead' father in the town.

3. Christof has created many ways to keep Truman in the world he has made, such as, making his teacher tell him that there is nothing left to explore when he expresses an interest in being an explorer when he was young and when he starts a fire on the road so that Truman can't drive out of the town and when he is trying to sail to Fiji Christof increases the wind to create a storm to try to kill Truman.

4. Christof is right to keep Truman in the fake world because it is safer because it is cleaner and there is no pollution or diseases or crime.
